How to get Brother Printer out of deep sleep?

    in General Discussions

For network-enabled HP printers, getting trapped in sleep mode is a common issue. The most common source of this problem is Windows software that manages the printer. If the , pressing the "Go" button will bring it back to life. Finally, in the menu window, go to 'printer' and tap 'use printer offline,' which will automatically reconnect the printer from its 'offline' status. It's a straightforward method that will switch a brother printer from offline to active status, allowing printing tasks in a queue to resume. On a Windows 10 PC, navigate to Settings > System > Power & sleep to disable sleep mode. Then, under Sleep, choose Never from the drop-down option.

To resolve this issue and resume computer operation, use one of the following methods:-

    1. Press the SLEEP keyboard shortcut.

    2. Press a standard key on the keyboard.

    3. Move the mouse.

    4. Quickly press the power button on the computer. Note If you use Bluetooth devices, the keyboard may be unable to wake the system.

If your printer has gone in the sleep mode and you want to wake it up, then you can follow the steps given below to change its sleep time settings:

    1. From the main menu of your printer, click on the “General Setup” option

    2. Now, you need to navigate to the “Ecology” section

    3. And, tap on the “Sleep Time” settings

    4. Furthermore, you need to add the value in the given sleep time settings

    5. You can input any value ranging from 00 to 99

    6. This should be the time after which your printer will go into the sleep mode

    7. Do not forget to save the settings at the end

    This may help you,
